“Innocence”
*** The painting participated in a solo exhibition in Germany, “The Power of Imagination”.
This painting embodies the idea that all its elements, when examined individually, interact with each other and form a unified picture of integrity. The world depicted in the painting is initially empty and only gains shape over time. The tree, symbolizing aspiration and youth, embodies the idea that to truly appreciate the beauty of a blooming tree, one must know and see the roots hidden within the earth. This prompts reflections on the fact that true beauty might be incomplete and lacking without knowledge and understanding of its origins.
The naked figure on the painting, covering itself with hands, symbolizes the fear of accepting oneself as one is and remaining incomplete and vulnerable in one’s inner world. It represents the refusal to accept oneself and engaging in irrational actions in an attempt to hide one’s flaws. The depiction of filth signifies the dirt we carry into the real world and the lack of pause. This can be perceived as a critique of the negative influence we exert on the environment and our inner world through our actions.
Overall, this painting encapsulates the complexity of human existence, inner struggles, fears, and imperfections that influence our external and internal reality.
* The painting is done on primed canvas with a wooden frame. Materials used for its creation include blue, green, black, pink, and beige acrylic paints, as well as sand paste. Hanging hardware is installed.
